Carter Kusner is a video editor working across film, television, and digital media, with a focus on storytelling through rhythm, pacing, and visual structure.

His editorial work has supported projects from major studios and networks including HBO, FX, Netflix, Amazon Prime, Apple TV+, and Warner Bros. Television.

Through his work with visual effects studios such as Mosaic VFX and Assembly VFX, Carter contributed to productions including What We Do in the Shadows, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Ripley, The Gilded Age, and The Crowded Room.

While working within VFX editorial teams, Carter edited multiple studio reels and promotional edits showcasing complex visual effects work from these productions. These projects required shaping narrative flow, selecting key visual moments, and crafting edits that clearly communicated the scale and quality of the work. 

Beyond studio work, Carter has experience cutting narrative sequences, interview-driven content, and montage-driven storytelling. He has assembled selects, built montage sequences, and created animatics for production teams—developing an editorial approach grounded in both technical precision and creative instinct.

Editing has been a passion for Carter since his early teens, when he began cutting trailers and promotional edits for films and television series he admired. These projects helped shape his sense of pacing, tone, and cinematic storytelling—skills that continue to define his work today.
